Lake Meridian

On Monday Laura took Russell and Elise to Lake Meridian to feed the ducks. Both kids had boots on and Laura should have worn boots herself because she found herself chasing after Russell. He wanted all the ducks in the water and flushed out all the ducks sitting in the grass into the lake. Good thing they weren't nesting eggs or we'd have some duck who would have stood their ground! He sure was grinning from ear to ear while doing that. We came across a stange looking duck- it looked like a cross between a duck and turkey as it had red and black head feathers. Russell got close to Red and while mom was busy getting the camera she missed what happened next. Next thing she saw Red had bread in his beak it was unknown if Russell threw it or if Red took it out of his hand.
