We went to Bellevue's Snowflake Lane AKA Snowflake LAME "parade" last night. In order to eat and arrive by seven PM I woke the kids early to take an early nap. They woke shortly before 5, which was the time I wanted to leave, and we really were off by 5:30. We got to Bellevue at 6 but getting off the freeway and getting to the parking garage was another story!! Good thing this mama brought snacks- no dinner until after the "parade." We finally got to the sidewalk at 6:50 pushed our way as close as we could and that was still 4 people deep. There were real life toy soldiers, some with drums and a person in a penguin costume dancing on the sidewalk and that was the "parade." LAME- I thought Santa was suppose to be there and had made it into so more than what it really was. It did snow as it does every night during the parade and the kids liked that.
We then headed to Factoria's Red Robin and ate a much sought after meal.
Lastly we headed to the Bellevue Botanical Garden's light display. GO GO GO you will NOT be disappointed. The highlight of the entire evening, besides the "snow" and my RR chocolate shake ;)
