Shed Making

Joe is building a shed 10 X 15 feet to be exact. The first step was clearing the land. We then hauled in a yard and a half of gravel and then the real work began. Joe meticulously placed blocks and leveled them. He leveled them across the rows and then up and down the columns. I can appreciate how detail oriented he is. I probably would have eyeballed it and would have went straight into hammering.

Why build a shed? We don't have a garage, we have a basement full of all the things that were once in our garage. If that basement is to be our master bedroom we need to have it semi empty. Well where are we going to store all of our "garage items?" Thus the need for a shed. We hope to get the drywall in the basement done in the winter.

The burn pit smoldering in the background was once full of 150+ alder trees.

Since these pics we screwed down plywood for the flooring.

Next up- walls.
