On June 16th the kids went in for their yearly checks. Russell topped the scales at 26.4 lbs 90% (24.11 at 9 mo), height 32" > 95% (30" at 9 mo), and 19 inch circumference of the head 93% (18.5 at 9 mo). We are taking him into an Ear, Nose, Throat specialist tomorrow, Fri 25th because he has a growth in his mouth. It was the size of a pea when we first discovered it at 9 mo and now has grown to the size of an almond and we need it checked out. Prayers for our Russie!! As the doctor said, "It sure hasn't prevented him from eating any!" This is one solid kid.
Elise was next. She was 39.5" tall 92%, and 33 lbs 75%. The doctor guessed she will be 5'9" or 5'10" but says the age a girl hits puberty plays a factor. The sooner you hit puberty the sooner you stop growing, or at least that's the theory. The doctor is not as concerned as the parents about Elise's speech. "F's" come out sounding like "B's" say Freddy the Frog went too Fast and you get- Betty the Bog went too Bast. Sometimes I just go through and rhyme things to figure out what she is saying. Here was a mom ah-ha moment
"Mom, wook at those inkers?"
Now I could have ignored her and acted like I knew what she was saying but she seemed persist ant.
"See 'em?"
So mom asked question, "What do they do, Elise?"
"They water the grass."
"Oh, SPRINKLERS, you want me to look at those sprinklers!!"
"Yes." Affirmative.
