Valentine's Day with Elise

All the kids had a class list sent home and were instructed to make valentines for all their classmates. I was able to go help out from 9-11:30, 9 adults to 24 kids not a bad ratio ;)

They had ice cream sundays and the kids all brought in different toppings. We then did a math assignment with converstation hearts. Sort them by color, then count them. How many were blue, pink etc. Then a bar graph was made. The teacher pointed out Elise was the first one to sort all 40 hearts. I later teased her and said it was from helping mom with all the laundry.

Her teacher, Mrs. Longmire, told the students to sit in their own space so no one's Valentine's would get mixed up. She's done this before ;) She mentioned her first kindergarten class are now seniors in high school.
