On our walk up the drive returning to the house Russell stated he wanted to ride the bus. I explained once you are 5 you can ride the bus. After we came inside from sending Elise off Russell began playing with his trains. Soon it was quiet and I was worried. I called his name..no response. I had a sneaky suspicion he was outside. I called outside "Russell!" and I heard a faint "Yes!" Mom: "Where are you?" RJZ: "I am going to ride the bus to preschool."
He was heartbroken that he was not able to ride the bus. Mom: "Russell, how old are you?"
RJZ: "I'm five mom, I can ride the bus."
Sneaky middle child...
