The Great Escape

The day we have been dreading for months happened today; Russell has learned how to climb out of his crib. Joe and I are trying to get him to self soothe and we will rock or sway with him a bit and then lay him down to finish his sippy cup of milk. It's not that we don't have the time to snuggle with him but we want him to get in this routine before the baby comes. Any who, Joe went back to get his sippy cup 5 or so minutes after being laid down and guess who was on the outside of the crib hanging on?? We were hoping to give Elise's bed to Russell but upon further inspection it looks like both cribs are equal in the mattress to crib rail measurement. We are debating on getting a crib net, yes that is an actual product ;)

Oh a crib net sounds like a wonderful product. Might need to get one ourselves soon, Greyson can and does climb INTO his crib (don't ask -it's a long story) but has never climbed out (but then, now that I think of it what if he climbed out and then back in - we wouldn't really know HAHA that's funny).

How tall is he now? Probably had a lot to do with him being able to climb out right?

Good luck with the self soothing the only way Greyson will "self sooth" is with an empty baby bottle (which in reality is just a really big easy to find and hold onto passy). But then my motto nowadays for everything is "Do Whatever Works".

Please let me know how the crib net works :)
